Not Me! Monday

It's been awhile since I've joined in for a Not Me! Monday, mostly because I haven't had much to Not Me! about or because I failed to post before Monday was over, which happened last week.  Without my kids running around my house anymore, there just isn't a whole lot of excitement going on. 


But I did have a couple Not Me! moments last week and unfortunately they involve doors and my own accidental self.  Did I just say that?  Whoa.... that is totally Not Me! I swear.  I am never prone to accidents.  Nope!  Just Not Me!  Well... okay... maybe just a little?


So early last week it was Not Me! who while opening the door to the bathroom ran smack dab into the door because someone's foot was in the way abruptly stopping the door at the same time my body hit it.  But I swear it was Not My foot that got in the way.  I would never do something so silly that would cause such scene!  And it was Not Me! who did not end up with a small goose bump on my forehead, nor was it me that had bruising around my boobs/sternum because I hit the door so hard.  I tell you, It was Not Me!  I would never do something so stupid, or that comical! And I definately don't have blonde hair!    Ha!


It was also Not Me! who later in the week was getting in the car when my face and the car door collided with each other.  And it was Not Me! who ended up having a nice ole' shiner right under my eye, the night before a job interview.  I would never ever do such a thing!  Nope that just isn't me! 


It was Not Me! that woke up the next morning before the interview with a puffy, black and blue face, and it was Not Me! who would apply so much makeup to my face to conceal the bruise and wear my glasses in hopes that no one would notice.  Absolutely Not Me! I say!  I would always want people to think I was abused by someone other than myself!  Ha again!


Oh boy...ummm.... and....it was definately Not Me! who just had a deja-vu moment realizing this same thing happened to me not so long ago in December,  in another Not Me! Monday post you can read here.  It is definately Not Me! that is even sharing this with you.  I would never ever want to share these things about me, ever!


Oh My!  Am I really that accident prone?  It just can't be me! It's Not Me!, Not Me!, Not Me that is in denial.  I would never be that way would I?  I think I need to most definately stay away from doors in the future.

"Not Me" Monday!

Well it's here!  The day of the week to share our "Not Me" moments from last week.  Let's see what I can come up with. 

I have spent the last several weeks looking for a job.  I think most of us hate looking for work.  But "Not Me"!  I love it! (Not really).  That is why it was Not Me who on the one day last week when I was supposed to go into job service to take my application package for a particular job, chose to stay home instead.  It was "Not Me" who would sabotauge myself and it was "Not Me" who just wanted to stay home and do nothing but lay on the couch and watch TV.  It was Not Me who just could not bring myself to do anything towards finding a job that day.  It was "Not Me" who was so tired, bored, exhausted from all my efforts into looking for work that I would definately not sabotauge myself and my efforts on that particular day.  I swear, I would never do that! 

It was Not Me who ended up with extreme back pain on Saturday that I thought I was having a Kidney Stone or Kidney Infection, and then realized the next day when the pain wasn't quite so bad and the symptoms of either stones or infection never appeared, that it was probably just a pulled muscle from shoveling snow.  It was Not Me who would totally forget she shoveled snow that day.  It was Not Me who would automatically think that it must be something other than just back pain.  It was Not Me who would jump to conclusions like that even if it did feel like something worse and different than a pulled muscle.  Nope, it couldn't have been me.  I just would never ever do that!

"Not Me", Monday! - Backseat Driver

Well it's that day of the week again to share our "Not Me" Moments from last week.   So lets just get to it, shall we? 

Last weekend we had to drive the kids back to Idaho Falls to meet their dad so they could go back home to Cedar City, Utah.  It was cold, it was snowy and the roads were very icy for about 50 miles of our trip.  But it was "Not Me" who was sitting in the passenger seat all tensed up, seriously scared, and covering my eyes.  Those of you who know me, know that I would never do that.  I love driving on icy roads in the middle of winter, I never get afraid and seriously would never cover my eyes.  So that couldn't have been me. 

It was also "Not Me" who was told to cover her eyes rather than continue telling the driver to slow down, or don't get to close to the edge, or your going too fast.  Nope, that would definately not be me.  I would never think of being the "backseat driver" sitting in the front passenger side of the car telling the driver what to do, probably making him more nervous about driving in those conditions.  No, no, no.... that was "Not Me".  It just couldn't be.

"Not Me" Monday! - A week of mishaps

Folks it's that time again!  A time to be honest and share with all everything we did "not" do this past week.  This blog carnival was created by Mckmama.  So head on over to her blog to read about everyone else's "Not Me" moments or to create your own.  I dare you!  :)

It seems this past week for me was filled with mishaps, one right after the other.  So here I go admitting to you all my "Not Me" moments I would rather forget! 

To start things off, as I was getting into my car early last week, it was "Not Me" who opened the car door right into my forehead, practically knocking me out, leaving me with a goose egg, a headache and a bruise.  Nope that was "not me".  That must have been some other careless woman who did that.  Unfortunately, I still feel the pain!

It was also "not me" who, that same day and in that same car, did not leave the car lights on which completely drained the battery which made it so the car had to be jumped before I could go anywhere.  No... that was definately "Not Me".  I would never do something so stupid! 

It was also "not me" who in that same car but on a different day accidently pushed the window control lever down in -29 degree weather, and in doing so with unfortunate luck the window regulator happened to just break at that moment leaving the window down about 4 inches.  I guarantee that it was "not me" who happened to be there having to drive back home in the freezing temperatures with the window down. Absolutely Not!  I tell you it was "Not Me"! 

And lastly it was "not me" who had to keep dealing with the lense of her glasses popping out.  Nope!  I just love wearing my glasses with only one lense in place.   You know...it gives me that "nerdy" or "redneck" look which I just love! 

It's definately "not me" who is very glad this week is over and it's "not me" who hopes that this week will be a much better week.  I love dealing with mishap after mishap!  I live for it!  NOT!!!!!

"Not Me" Monday

Well Folks it's that day of the week where we all get to reveal moments we would rather forget or admit to all the things that we did not do this past week.  So if you would like to join in on this therapeutic blog carnival that was created by MckMama, head on over to her blog now to link up.

This past week was interesting.  I bought a new coat last week and wore it out running errands a couple days this week.  After returning home and hanging up the coat on the second day of wearing it out in public I noticed the tags were still hanging off it.  It was "Not Me" who just wanted to die of humiliation and embarrassment, and it was "Not Me" who wondered how many people saw me wearing my coat with the tags still hanging off it and who snickered to themselves.  Nope, "not me" I say!  I would never want to die of humiliation over that, in fact I get so excited to wear new clothes with the tags still on them just so everyone will know they are new.  Humiliation?  Embarrassment?  No... that is definately Not Me! 

It's also for surely "Not Me" who has left my husband's dress shirt sitting in the laundry room for 3 months just waiting to be ironed.  No that's "Not Me".  I love doing the ironing so much that it's just "not me" that makes sure all the clothes I buy are wrinkle free.  I would never do that!

And it's "Not Me" that got a chunck taken out of my face and lip by our parrot this week. Nope, "Not me"!  It looks like an alien, so it's definately "not me"!

Not Me! Monday - Photo Stop

It's that time again.  The day of the week when we honestly confess to all about the things we did not do this past week.

I was driving into town this past week, the day after we had 24 inches of snow, when I came across the most beautiful scene and I just had to get a picture.  But it was "Not Me" who came to a complete stop right in the middle of the road just so I could take this photo that is postcard worthy.  I would never think of doing something so reckless and dangerous.  No that was "Not Me". 

And I would definately not do it again further down the road just to get this photo.  That was "Not Me" either.  I would not be one of those people that I get irritated at, that I would call obscene names to and maybe even flip them the bird.  Nope, I tell you that was definately "Not Me".  I would never ever do something so irresponsible and crazy just to take a great picture.

Not Me! Monday

Its that time again.... time for Not Me! Monday.... where we can all share all the things we did not do this past week.  Unfortanetly, the host of this Blog Carnival, MckMama is dealing with her little baby, Stellan, being in the hospital and so there won't be any "link ups" this week.   Let's just all pray for Stellan and their family, that he will get well soon. 

So here goes myself being brutally honest with you in all the things I did not do.   As most of you have read in other posts of mine, most of October here in Montana has been like living in the dead of winter.  Most days have been extremely cold, snowy, windy, rainy and cloudy.  So today, we have beatiful weather.  The skies are cloudless, the sun is out and it's actually warm (in the 50's).  This would be the most perfect day to be out enjoying the day like walking, hiking, exploring.  Instead it was Not Me! who woke up feeling achy and sicky, and it was definately Not Me! who did not go out and enjoy the beautiful day because I was feeling yucky.  I would Not ever let the yucks get me down and keep me from enjoying the wonderful fall day.  No, that was Not Me!   

And after purchasing the Halloween Candy earlier this past week to give out on Halloween, it was Not Me! who decided to open the bags of candy a day or two earlier just so I could eat some of the candy bars that were calling my name.  No, no, no... that definately was Not Me!  I would never do that and I definately would not tell anyone about it if I did.  Nope, that was Not Me!

LAZY IN BAD WEATHER - NOT ME! MONDAY

I am sure you have heard me complain about the snow and the cold weather (sub zero temperatures) we have been getting hit with over the past week or so.  Well when it's snowing and cold outside I think I become really lazy.  Did I just say that?  Not Me!  So it was Not Me! who with a list of to-do's such as cleaning bathrooms, laundry and vacuuming did not instead grab her book and a cup of hot cocoa and sit on the couch for most of the day Saturday doing just that, reading and sipping hot cocoa.  No, that definately was Not Me!  I would never do that.  I always look forward to house work and would never choose reading a book over chores.  Nope, I say it was Not Me! 

And it was definately Not Me!  Who chose to stay in doors rather than go anywhere over the weekend, including church!  Nope that was Not Me!  I would never choose to stay home in my warm house, snuggling up with my husband over shopping, going to a movie and even church!  No that was Not Me!

Not Me! Monday

This past week has been a bit of a rough one for me.  I've had problems with my eyes and couldn't wear my contacts for several days.  I also don't have a good pair of glasses with the right prescription, but they are better than nothing.  Unfortunately, the blurred vision, the light sensitivity, and just plain not being able to see has taken its toll.  It has caused dizziness and headaches as well as nausea.  But this would not make me a grouchy person at all.... Not Me!  I am always a happy and calm person, nothing ever bothers me! 

After being stuck in the house for most of the week because of my eyes, we decided to go on a little hike up in the mountains one day.  Everything was fine for the first little bit, but after a while my eyes really started to get blurry, I started seeing triple, I felt like the ground was moving out from underneath me, and I started to feel like I was going to be sick.  So I was not the 42 year old, grown woman, who completely lost it and threw a major fit.  Nope, that was NOT ME!.  And it wasn't me that ripped her glasses off her head and threw them to the ground....that was definately NOT ME!    And it was NOT ME who started crying uncontrollably and had to have my husband practically carry me down the trail and back to the car.  Nope, that was NOT ME!  I don't even know who that person was.

And it was NOT ME! who spent 24 hours being sick with the flu bug later on in the week. Nope, I was not the one that spent the whole day lying on the couch doing abolutely nothing, but being miserable with a sick tummy and aches and pains.  Nope that was NOT ME!   I never get sick! 

And since I wasn't the one that was sick,  It was NOT ME who decided to make chocolate chip cookies the next day to take on our camping trip over the weekend.  And I promise it was NOT ME who ate more cookie dough than the number of cookies I actually baked.  That was definately NOT ME!  I just wouldn't do that.

And it's NOT ME that is really glad last week is over!  Nope NOT ME!  I would never be glad to see a week go by fast.

Not Me! Monday

I went on a hike today to the top of 'M' mountain here in Bozeman, Montana.  It was a great hike except that it was steep and it was Hot!  I had too many layers of clothes on and I was feeling trapped.  So... I was not the person on that trail that stripped down to her bra, right out in the open, giving anyone who was looking a "free" shot, just so I could remove some layers.  Nope!  That was Not Me!  I wouldn't be caught dead or even think about doing that. 

It was also Not Me! who made a batch of Scottish Shortbread to take to our neighbors as a thank you for welcoming us in the neighborhood, and then ate practically the whole plateful myself and decided to just make another batch for the neighbors.  Again... That was Not Me!  I never do those sorts of things!

Not Me! Monday

Here is to another week of Not Me's!

As you all are very much aware of after you move you are loaded down with empty boxes. A few you save for the when you move again, and a few you save to store things in, but the majority of the boxes MUST GO! Therefore, you did NOT see me load the empty, flat boxes in my Buick Rendevous and you did NOT see me wait until sundown just so I could sneakily drive all over town looking for dumpster's to put these boxes into. You know! The Dumpster's that say $500 fine if caught dumping into? Nope that was NOT ME! I wouldn't think of doing that.

I will be the first to admit that I DO NOT SNORE! So the other night after falling into bed, exhausted from moving, I was startled awake by this strange "whining" type sound. It sounded like some animal nearby and it scared me and woke me up. My husband was laughing as he informed me that it was ME making that noise. I say, "It was NOT!" Believe me, that was NOT ME! It had to have been some other creature! Nope that was NOT ME! Because, I don't snore!

NOT ME! MONDAY - Not without the Internet!

Since my last post, we have moved to Bozeman, Montana. And because I am without internet service for several days, I actually wrote this ahead of time so I would not miss "Not Me" Monday. Only now it's Tuesday (and I am reconnected) and I realized for some reason it did not automatically post and I don't know why. It's a day late, but I am posting anyway.

Even though my last official last day of work was August 15th, I did not actually pretend I was working for several days before that date when I really wasn't. Nope not me!

I did not buy a carton of White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookie dough, just so I could eat the dough. Nope not me! I would never do that.

I did not clean out the cupboards that hold all the left over containers and throw perfectly good containers away just because I had too many. Nope Not Me! I did not do that.

I did not drive our car on a near empty tank of gas to pick up Bill from work, just so he can fill it up with gasoline. Nope not me!

I did not notice the lawn needed mowing and I did not leave it unattended for several days, just so Bill could mow it on the weekend. Nope not me! I would never dream of doing that.

I did not drink 2 pepsi's in one day when I have vowed to go off of carbonated drinks completely. I just wouldn't do that. Nope not me!

I did not stay up until 4:00 in the morning when Bill was gone to work, just because I hate going to bed alone. Nope not me!

And I definately would not take a 3 hour nap later that day when I wasn't even tired! Nope not me!

Having no access to the internet for several days does NOT drive me crazy. I would never think that the internet is the staff of life. Nope not me!

This move to Montana is a huge move for us and we are down to just a few days. So while I pack my house up into boxes, you will not find me taking several breaks to read the Anita Stansfield book "The Silence of Snow", nope not me!

And because I love moving so much you will not find me spending many hours of time on Facebook, nope not me! I am NOT addicted to Facebook, not even a little! Nope not me!

Nor will you find me changing my blog template, adding pictures to my blog, or reading ALL my friend's blogs, especially while I should be packing and cleaning. Nope not me! I would never do that.

And I definately would not take the time to go see the new Harry Potter movie. No Way! Nope not me!

I am definately NOT sick of moving already. Nope not me!
