Christmas Recap

Our Christmas actually began on the 13th because we had my parents here visiting and because Valerie and Parker were going back to Utah with them on the 15th.   So we each opened a gift or two or three.

As mentioned earlier, Valerie, Bob and Parker went to Utah for Christmas this year.  So Dear Hubby and I got the job of dog sitting for them.  DH and I celebrated our Christmas in the usual way except it was just the two of us and the dogs... all four of them.

So you could say that it was a Doggone Good Christmas!  Here is the proof!  Woof woof woof woof!

Aren't they sweet?

The dogs had more gifts to open than we did!  Really!  As you can tell by this picture we had a dog toy revolution!

At noon DH and I headed over to Aunt Patsy's house for Christmas Lunch with some of the family.  We had a nice visit and excellent food.  It is nice to get to know DH's family a little more.  I am grateful to have a lot of in-laws around especially when I am missing my kids and my family so much.

Later that evening we were invited to Brad & Shelly's house (DH's brother), for Christmas Dinner, White Elephant gift exchange, and Games!  We had such a great time and are so thankful to Brad & Shelly for hosting this get-together.   Next year it will be held in our new home!

And this is a picture of my cool nephew who was showing us how he rocks on his new drum set.  And boy is he good!  Great job A!

I am so thankful for my DH's family for making Christmas really wonderful for me.  I will be honest and say that I was having a hard time being without my kids (again), and I was really missing my family... but Christmas turned out to be really nice and I am blessed and so grateful for my other family. I Love You All!

Nativity

A couple weeks ago Valerie and I went to the Arlington Texas Stake 17th Annual Nativity Display.  There were hundreds of nativities on display.  Here are my favorites....

This is the cutest nativity I have ever seen!

This one is such a beautiful piece and is my 2nd top favorite

This is my top favorite.  It is so detailed and beautiful!

Just Gorgeous and so Special!

We had a great time viewing the nativities and being entertained by the Texas Children's Choir... they were amazing!

Tis' the season and so I just wanted to share these with you.

Thanks for going with me Valerie
It was a fun day!

I Love my Sister!

What a Birthday Cake!

So it was my DH's birthday a couple weeks ago.  My sister, Valerie, is quite the cake maker decorator and this is what she came up with for my DH's big day.   Any of you who know my DH knows what a big fan he is of hiking and mountains, especially in Montana, so this is the perfect cake for him.

Every single thing is edible except for the animal figures... yes even those rocks!

Billy and his brother Brad

What a cake!

That's my guy!

Going for it!

Just so you know, it was really hard to tear into this thing and ruin such an amazing creation.  But we did it! And the cake was so delicious!

Thanks Valerie!!!

Happy Birthday
Sweetheart!

A couple months ago on the Beach...

You might remember that a couple months ago I went to Florida to attend my Uncle's funeral.  While we were there we got to experience the white beaches of Panama City Florida.  Here are a few pictures......

Nibblin on sponge cake, watchin the sun bake, all of those tourists covered with oil...

Yup we pretty much spent all day on the beach looking for shells.
We found some nice ones too.

We had so much fun and really could have spent all of our time doing this!

Yup.. still searching for those shells
Love those footprints in the sand!

Beautiful Sunset

We had a nice time being beach bums for a day or two.  Can't wait to get back there.  The fall is really the perfect time to go.  No crowds and it is still warm!

Hot Doggity Dog!

Daisy's Halloween Costume!  Appropriate don't you think?  I'm not sure she agreed... do you see that look in  her eyes?   However, she was the hit of the whole night.  She walked for miles trick-or-treating, and was stopped to have pictures taken over and over again!  She's a trooper.  Love Her!

Autumn on the Farm......

On Saturday I woke up to the most beautiful day so I took this picture to capture the moment.

This is Autumn at the Farm...

It was nice and warm and sunny. Sandals and Capri wearing weather! (I almost took a photo of me wearing my sandals, but I didn't).

And these are our Babies..... (Two of them anyway)
Meet Cinnamon and Baby Cakes

And this is Cesar

I am so happy to say that it is December 1st (Already?) and I am still wearing my Sandals and Capri's... and I am not missing the snow at all!

It is supposed to be cold and rainy over the weekend and into next week so I will enjoy this while it lasts!

Christmas is around the corner and soon there will be a ground breaking on our new home.  Can't wait to get started!  And.... my parents are coming for a visit!  They will be here on Sunday (if the weather and roads are decent).

Lots to look forward to!

Now I just need to finish the Christmas shopping and start the baking and the candy making.

What are you looking forward to?
