St. Patrick's Day Fun

Back a couple weeks ago on March 17th, we had a St. Paddy's Day party at my in-laws home.  We had great food and great fun.  Here are a few photos to share.....

The ladies in our piggy tails! Aw!

Moi

Aunt Sandy

The best mother-in-law

Aren't we cute?

Mom prepared a really fancy pasta dinner with all the fixings to go with it.  Good Stuff Maynard!

Dad & Mom

Hey that's my guy!

Tom and Sandy

Let the games begin...

Everyone played Wii Bowling except me.  I was the observer as I had hurt my back earlier that day.  Still fun but wish I wasn't hurting to much.

Really getting into it

And Dad was the winner!

This one is random but I wanted to show you the other observer.....

This is China Doll

Isn't she gorgeous?

There is nothing better than sharing good times with family.  I am so glad I have some wonderful in-laws.

Hope y'all enjoyed a nice St. Paddy's Day!  May the Luck of the Irish always be with ya!

Our Country Life

Life in the country sometimes involves sleeping in...

Aw!

Most of the time it involves getting up at the crack of dawn and working until sundown.

On this particular January day it was a beautiful day with temperatures in the 70's.

Everyone was enjoying being outside seeking new adventures.

This is China Doll... isn't she gorgeous?

Daisy was also getting into exploring
Do you see those flowers in bloom?

Spring is just around the corner

Eagerly waiting

Jack Bull

Even our Llamas were excited about the nice day

And curious...

Anxious for new adventures.

Look at her lashes... beautiful baby!

Sweet Sebastian... our baby boy!

He just got back from the vet after recovering from an injury

What?  No Carrots?

Dottie

Baby Cakes & Cinnamon

Wanna know a secret?
*If you look past those trees just on the other side...
That is where we are building our home.
Groundbreaking very soon

Baby Cakes

And just to show you what beautiful blue skies there were on this day....

Nice huh?

Today the bird feeders were fixed up, repainted, filled with seed and hung.

Sometime in the near future I will post some pictures
of all the birds that pay us a visit

Including Red Cardinals, Blue Jays, Bluebirds, Golden Finches, Titmouse and many others.

They are so gorgeous and fun to watch.

And then there are people hard at work like DH here...

That's my guy!

On this day he was securing the fence line along the backside of our property.

And then at the end of the day we can relax on the
front porch and gaze out at this view...

Breathtaking!

And that, my friends, is a sample of our life in the country of the Lone Star State

And life in the country is pretty darn good!

A visit with the Grandbabies

We had an unexpected surprise visit from our son-in-law and grand-babies a couple weeks ago.  They came all the way here from Arizona to attend his grandmother's funeral so we didn't get to visit for very long; however, it was a really nice time.

Later on we met up with Bill's parents (Great G-ma & Great G-pa Carpenter) for dinner.

Great Grandma came with Easter gifts

All three of them

It was wonderful to have some grandbaby time even if it was short and sweet.

The best thing that I have been told in a very long time was when Sadie said to me "Grandma, I really love you".  Aw! You don't know what that did to my heart!

We missed Stephanie (their mommy) though!  We hope to see you all really soon!

I sure love these kids!!
