Yes you heard right. We are moving. As if I can handle one more life changing event in my life right now! Somebody must think I can because we are moving and it's not just across town. We are moving to Montana!
We learned last week about some job transfers happening at Bill's work, FedEx Freight. It is a "move up" for Bill in many ways. It will put him at the top of the seniority list (he will be 1 of 3 drivers) instead of at the bottom, at #85. He will have a steady work schedule, he will go to the same place every day and come right back home, he will have good miles, which means a nice and regular paycheck. Unlike what we have been getting here because he was at the bottom of the driver list.
I guess it couldn't have happened at a better time in our lives, as we are really at a crossroads anyway. With my kids now living in Cedar City, and since I don't have a grand career that I just can't leave, and because we are not tied down into a mortgage payment, there is really nothing stopping us. And even though we have fretted and worried and wondered why this is happening and how we are going to do it, and after giving it much thought and prayer, somehow every single thing has fallen into place giving us confirmation that this is what we are supposed to do.
Even though we feel it's the right thing to do, I can't describe to you how I feel about being even further from my kids. This was the ONE thing that has made it so difficult. I don't understand why things have happened like they have, I only hope that someday I will. And in the meantime, I pray that God will give me the strength I need to get passed these road bumps and find the peace I am seeking in knowing my kids will be okay.
You are probably wondering where in Montana we are moving to. We won't know for sure until end of next week. It will be either Missoula or Bozeman, our first choice is Missoula. Oh and we have to be moved before August 23rd. Since we don't have very much time between now and then, we spent the weekend packing up most of our house. We will take a trip up there around the 25th of this month to look for houses. As you can imagine, we have a ton of things to take care of before we move. It will be interesting and probably stressful, but I hope it all goes smoothly.
To all of you my friends and family, I am sorry that you are learning about this here and now. I have not had time to call everyone. It was very short notice and it came as a shock to us too.
So, Jennifer and Lara, I am joining you in the craziness as we all make plans and preparations to move our families to different areas of the United States.
I guess now the fun begins!!

Wow, that is big news! You could have at least moved a little closer my direction. J/K
I hope things go smoothly for you.
It is so hard to think about you being so far away from Jessie and Shellise and of course dad and I. I hate having you and Val so far away, not being close to do family things together. Honey I will miss you so much but I do know that the Lord has his hand in things, so whatever are in his plans for you will be for the best for Bill and you at this time. Don't stress too much, I guess you are having a lot to learn at this time with the trials you are facing. I hope you know how much we love you and pray that you will have a great job and a beautiful place to live. Love Ya, MOM
Wow! Montana! Congratulations! I've always wanted to try living out of state so I must say I'm jealous!! That's so awesome about Billy's job. I'm glad the move is for something good, that will be hard to be further away from your kids I'm sure though. Keep us updated and good luck!!
Wow Sherrie! That is crazy! Exciting, though, especially when it means a better job in this economy.
I know it's got to be hard for you to be further away from your kids...but I guess you're still in the western part of the country.
Good luck with the move and all that comes with it!
I am excited for you and I am sure you will love it there. I bet it is real hard on you with the kids. Like you said there must be a reason. You need to make sure to keep in touch and if you are in Cedar before you move call me and let's do lunch. I miss ya and will be praying for you.
