SWEET 16!

Sixteen years ago tomorrow (April 5th) my baby girl, Shellise Ann McCray, was born at 6:58 pm, weighing in at 8lbs. 4oz - 20-1/2 inches long.

I waited 9 long years for her, and was so blessed and grateful to God when this little miracle came into the world and was placed in my arms.  I will never forget that moment or that feeling.

It's hard to believe my Shellise is 16 years old already.  The time has flown right by so fast.  Gone are her needs as a baby and as a little girl.  She has now grown into a beautiful young woman, whom I am very proud of.

She was born with the most beautiful auburn colored hair, the cutest dimples, and a big smile that could light up any room.  Her nickname is "Bug" because of how she used to scoot around like a bug when she was a baby.

What a great biography of her life so far. She was the cutest little baby ever with those dimples. She still is a beautiful young woman with those dimples and a beautiful smile. I enjoy being around her because she brightens life when she is around. Thanks for all of the things you wrote and the pictures, they are great memories. It is so hard to think that she is 16 already, where has time gone. What a blessing to our family. Great job Sherrie, it is absolutely a wonderful written story.

What a wonderful post. She is beautiful. It is so hard to believe that they have grown up so fast. I wish mine were still babies. Hope you are doing good and have a great week.

What a very special tribute to a young lady's life. I hope she reads it. How fortunate we are that you and your children joined our family. We are proud to have such a talented, special grand daughter.

What a wonderful posting and tribute to Shellise's 16 years of life. Wow! Where did the time go.I know you love and miss her tons and that it's not been easy. It's good for Shellise to know that the love you have for her will always be there even though right now it's being tested by her. She's a teenager. All you can do is just love her and pray she will return it back to you. She may not show it right now, but she loves you so much, and misses her mom. I want you to know that.
